Summarized and simplified version of the Constitution

This document is a summarized and simplified version of the Constitution of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), intended to facilitate understanding without replacing the official constitutional text. It presents the identity, mission, principles, organization, and general functioning of the Church. It affirms, in particular, that the CCC is a single, universal, indivisible, and apolitical Church, founded in Porto-Novo on September 29, 1947, through a revelation to Prophet Pastor Samuel Biléou Joseph Oshoffa. The Supreme Headquarters is located in Porto-Novo, while Sèmè-Plage and Imèko hold a special place in the Church's pilgrimages and spiritual memory. The Constitution organizes governance around the Pastor, the Synod, the Pastoral Council, the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the Conclave. The Pastor is the sole worldwide leader of the Church, while the Synod constitutes the highest authority after him. The Conclave intervenes, in particular, to appoint a new Pastor in the event of a vacancy in the pastoral office. At the territorial level, the organization is based on Dioceses, and then, as needed, on Regions, Provinces, Districts, Zones, and Parishes. Each level has bodies responsible for the spiritual, administrative, and financial management of the Church. Finally, the document includes transitional provisions for a gradual shift from the old to the new organization and emphasizes the stability of institutions, unity, discipline, good governance, and respect for the Constitution by all leaders and members.
